Golf Fashion: Worst In The World?

Saying that I do not think I have seen something I have liked when it comes to what golfers wear, they just have no fashion sense. So why do all of these golfers actually put on all of this rubbish when they hit the courses?

Sponsorships

Most of the professionals have many deals with clothing companies which is why they are always wearing stupid branded products. These players will recieve anything from $100,000 to a couple of million every year for wearing these products so it could be worth it.

Not Club Policy Surely

There are so many people out there that do not like their golfers turning up in poor looking clothes. The top clubs will often stop people from entering the courses if they are not wearing what the course would call “proper clothing”.

Arrogance

Some of it is to do with the sport. Many people who play in the top clubs are rich and very stuck up and wearing these kinds of crazy clothes is just another sign of these people being posh and showing off how much money they have. It really is quite upsetting that this kind of thing goes on because golf is such a calming sport.

Laughable

Whenever I see my father walking out of the door on the way to play golf I have to say that along with the UPS batteries and 12v batteries for his golf trolleys I have to say that he looks absolutely ridiculous! I really do not know the reason why so many golf clubs set restrictions on what you have to wear. The only thing that i can really understand them doing is stopping people from playing in very casual wear such as jeans and a pair of trainers.

So what do you personally think on it all, do you feel that golfers fashion is way out of hand or do you actually think that when they walk onto the courses in their pink and yellow colours looking like Mr Blobby that it looks okay?
